How To: Give Your Friends Access to "Inbox by Gmail" Without Any Invites
Google's new Inbox by Gmail service offers a new take on email with a particular emphasis on productivity. But, as an invite-only service at this stage, not many people can access Inbox just yet.While users who have been lucky enough to receive an invite to the service will in turn get three invites to pass on, there's an easier way to spread the love. Just add your friend's Google account info to your mobile device and log into the Inbox app—they'll then be able to access the service from their own device.

Step 1: Add Your Friend's Google Account to Your DeviceIf you've received an invite to Inbox, make sure that you have the mobile app installed on your device. It's available on both Google Play and iTunes, so go ahead and get it installed, then ensure that you're logged in with your primary account. Next up, add your friend's Google account info to your device. On Android, this can be done by heading to Settings, then tapping Add Account and selecting Google from the list. From here, select Existing, then let your friend type in their username and password. At the end of the account setup process, you'll get a chance to configure syncing options. If you'd rather not have your friend's data synced to your device, make sure to deselect all sync options for this account.

Step 2: Log into the Inbox App with Your Friend's AccountFrom Inbox's main screen, open the side navigation drawer and tap your account name. This will expand a list of all other Google accounts associated with your device, so tap your friend's account at this time. After a second or two, your friend will be logged in and they should be able to log into the Inbox app on their own device—no invite needed!

Step 3: Remove Your Friend's Google Account from Your DeviceNow that your friend has access Inbox, you no longer need their Google account attached to your device. Under the Accounts subsection of Settings, tap the Google entry, then select your friend's Gmail address. From here, tap the three-dot menu button at the top of the screen and select Remove Account. Confirm your selection, then your friend's account will be removed from your device. Note that this trick will not work for any Inbox account activated using this method, so your friend will not be able to repeat this process for other people.Now that you've invited your friends, send them a link to this article so that they can familiarize themselves with Inbox's core functions, or point them here for a list of handy keyboard shortcuts.

It's time to set your Facebook "Last Will and Testament" straight. Do you want to assign a contact to look over your account, or would you prefer to have all your online memories fade away the minute you die? It's a tough decision, but with a little time, you can set up at least one of these options to ensure that your account isn't left to sit pretty without you for the rest of time.You have two options here: You can either assign a Facebook friend to become your "Legacy Contact" or you can request to have your account permanently deleted after you pass away. A Legacy Contact is a person who can manage your account after you die. Your Legacy Contact will be able to a pin a post on your Timeline, respond to friend requests, and update your profile picture. The contact will not be able to post as you or see your messages.If you don't want to choose a contact to look over your account, then your next option is to choose whether or not you want your account to remain alive after you die. You cannot set up both a Legacy Contact and have your account delete automatically, you must choose one or the other.With these two choices in mind, let's go through the steps below for both iPhone and Android on how to set up either of these options.Don't Miss: How to 'Go Live' on Facebook from Your iPhone or Android Phone

Step 1: Access Your 'When You Die' SettingsIf you're using an iPhone, go to your Facebook app and tap on the hamburger icon. Scroll down and select "Settings," then tap on "Account Settings." From there, tap on "General" at the top, then tap on "Manage Account" at the bottom. At this point, you'll be able to adjust your "when you die" settings. This means you can either assign your Legacy Contact or set up your account to be deleted when you pass. If you're using an Android device, then go to your Facebook app and tap on the hamburger icon. Scroll down to the Help & Settings section and tap on "Account Settings." If you don't see these options, choose "Settings," then "Account Settings." From there, go to "General," then select "Manage Account." This is where you'll be able to set up your Facebook account for when you die. Step 2: Set Up Your Legacy Contact (Option 1)If you choose to set up a Legacy Contact, then the following instructions are the same for both iPhone and Android users.From the Manage Account screen, tap on "Legacy Contact," then select "Choose Legacy Contact." Now, type in the name of the friend you would like to assign your account's responsibility to. When you are done, tap "Done." Your new Legacy Contact will be added. You have the option to message your contact about your decision. Once you decide to send them a notification or not, you will be directed to the next page. From here, you can remove the Legacy Contact or choose to allow your friend to "Data Archive Permission."Enabling "Data Archive Permission" gives your Legacy Contact the ability to download a copy of everything you've shared on Facebook. This could include posts, photos, videos, and info from the About section of your profile, but does not include your messages. Once you've made this selection, you'll be all set.

Step 3: Set Your Account to Delete When You Die (Option 2)If you don't want a Legacy Contact, then you can set your Facebook account to "Delete After Death." Again, tap on "Legacy Contact," then under the option to choose a contact, tap on "Account Deletion" instead.If you've already added a contact to manage your account, then you will need to remove that person by tapping on "Remove" under their Legacy Contact info. You cannot have both a contact and an automatic deletion set up at the same time."Account Deletion" will provide you with a couple options. You can either keep your account alive after you die by checking "No, Don't Delete," or you can permanently delete your Facebook account by enabling the option for "Yes, Delete After Death." When you decide, tap on "Save" to set your changes in motion. Adding More Email Accounts to OutlookTo start, launch Outlook. Next, tap the hamburger icon in the top-left corner of the display, then tap the settings gear in the bottom-left corner. If you're running an older version of the Outlook app on Android, you can simply tap the settings gear in the top right-corner of the main page. Once in settings, tap "Add Account" under Accounts. Tap "Add Email Account," and Outlook will present you with a form box to enter a new address. Type out your secondary account, then tap "Enter." While Outlook processes your email address, you might see the prompt "Set Up Manually" at the bottom of the display. If you know detailed information about your email account and server, you can tap this to enter-in all relevant data. Otherwise, just wait for Outlook to complete loading. If Outlook automatically recognizes your email provider, it will take you to their setup page. Follow the on-screen instructions for your provider, which will involve entering your account password, as well as allowing permissions for Outlook. If Outlook does not recognize your email provider, you may have to choose one from the provider list, or, alternatively, enter the information manually (which you can typically find in the settings page on your email account). However, if your provider is listed, simply tap it to be brought to their setup page, in which case, you can follow the instructions above. If all information is correct, Outlook will subsequently add your email account to your existing addresses. You can then repeat these steps for as many accounts as you have or wish to enter.By default, your inbox will display emails from all accounts you've added. Whenever a new Android device is realized, the first thing I figure out how to do is to get it root access. Generally speaking, rooting has never been easier, with many one-touch methods like Stump and Towelroot available. But as manufacturers and carriers increase security with each new product, there is one tried-and-true root method that continues to work on most Samsung devices—Chainfire's CF Auto Root.I'll get this out of the way now—when I say "most", I don't mean most devices, I mean most carrier variants. If you have an AT&T (our model) or Verizon Wireless version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, I'm sorry to say that we'll be waiting some time for a proper method of rooting (the bounty at time of writing is about $5,000).But, if you're sporting a Sprint, T-Mobile, or international variant of the latest in the Note series, here's how to root your new device.
Step 1: Download the Necessary FilesYou'll need a couple of things to get started—the appropriate CF Auto Root file for your device and Odin for Windows (which is packaged with the CF Auto Root ZIP). While there is an Odin-like program for Mac (called Heimdall), it is not officially supported by CF Auto Root, and we cannot recommend using it at this time.CF Auto Root for Sprint CF Auto Root for T-Mobile CF Auto Root for US Cellular CF Auto Root for International models (be sure to download the correct file for your model number/processor type)

Step 2: Extract the Downloaded FilesThe CF Auto Root ZIP file will extract to one .tar.md5 file—this is the file we want—as well as a couple of files for Odin and a couple of DLL files. If you end up with recovery.img and cache.img files, you've extracted too far.

Step 3: Set Up OdinOnce extracted, right-click the Odin3 application file, then select "Run as administrator." Now click the "PDA" option in Odin and select the .tar.md5 file. Additionally, be sure that the "Re-Partition" option is not checked.

Step 4: Place Phone in Download ModeNow power off your device and back on while holding the Volume Down + Home + Power buttons, then select the Volume Up button to enter "Download Mode."

Step 5: Flash CF Auto RootNow plug your device into your PC and you'll notice a COM message show in Odin, as well as "Added!!" in the progress window. All that's left to do is hit "Start". The process can take up to a few minutes—you'll see your device go into recovery mode, flash SuperSU, and reboot. Once your device has booted back up, open the SuperSU app from your app drawer and let it update binary files (if necessary).
TroubleshootingIf your device does not go into recovery mode, simply run the process again, this time unchecking the "Auto Reboot" option in Odin. Run Odin again, and when it sticks, pull the battery from your device, place it back in, and boot holding Volume Up + Power + Home.
