How To: Tether an un-rooted Droid X to Mac OS X with no apps
Some may think it's impossible, but it could be… tethering your Motorola Droid X to your Mac OS X computer without paying for Verizon's expensive Mobile Hotspot, without rooting the Droid X, and without installing any additional Android applications. It does sound impossible, but for some, it may not be. This video shows a process that worked for one Droid X owner. He somehow tethered the Droid X to his MacBook running 10.5.8 without any apps and without rooting the phone and without paying extra. It seems really easy, too, but this might not work for everyone. Once you pair the phone from Verizon Wireless, make sure you select the "Share Internet" option, then create a "Bluetooth Pan" connection in the Network Preferences pane. Happy tethering!
