She draws a lot and was hoping to hone her doodling skills on it, but she's right—most of the drawing apps available on Google Play aren't that great.She actually gave up even looking, but I remembered that Sony has a really great drawing app called Sketch preloaded on their newer Xperia line of Android devices. Unfortunately, just like the PlayStation Mobile Store, only certain Sony devices can install Sketch.But as always, we softModders have a way around that. If you're an artist and want to give Sony Sketch a try on your Nexus 7 tablet, here's how you get it installed. Please enable JavaScript to watch this video.

Importing images you already saved on to your tablet is also an option if you want to edit or draw on them. Lastly, here's something my girlfriend drew after having a few minutes with the Sketch app. Anyone into ducks? Overall, this app was great to use and the UI was simple and uncluttered. In fact, we know the first tip is far from foolproof, as users have complained they still receive bans with only the "NoSub" tweak installed on their iPhones. This is definitely a handy feature, and it should save a lot of time in some cases, but there are some obvious security concerns.So if you're worried about someone being able to respond to your incoming emails or texts without having to unlock your iPhone, head to the "Face ID & Passcode" or "Touch ID & Passcode" menu in Settings. From here, enter your passcode, then scroll down and disable the "Reply with Message" option. From now on, nobody will be able to respond to notifications on your lock screen. While you're at it, you may want to take things a step further. Lock screen notifications can do a lot more than they used to, so it would be a good idea to limit the apps that can show notifications here at all. If you'd like to prevent certain apps from being able to show lock screen notifications, just head to the "Notifications" menu in Settings, select any app, then disable the "Show on Lock Screen" option. Step 3: Easily Copy Any TextFrom now on, whenever you want to copy some text on any screen, long-press your home button, then you'll see the Clip Layer interface. From here, just tap any words on the screen to select them. (Tip: you can tap multiple words, and they'll be selected in sequential order).When you're done selecting words, tap one of the buttons on the bottom of the screen to perform an action. Tapping "Copy" will simply add the text to your clipboard, "Task" lets you add it to a to-do list, "Email" lets you send it in a new email, and "Share" will open Android's share menu with the text queued up. If you went with "Copy," you can simply paste the text into any field, and you'll notice that all the words you tapped are entered in sequential order automatically. (1) Triggering Clip Layer. If you frequently use your home button to activate the Google Assistant on your Pixel, or another voice assistant on another Android device, then replacing that with this copy functionality may not be worth the tradeoff. Step 1: Install ThemerGrab the Themer app directly from Google Play to get started. Once it's installed, your HTC One will recognize it as a new launcher as soon as you hit the Home button. When prompted, choose Themer and select "Always". It will also ask for permission to create widgets, so allow that also as well.

Step 2: Pick & Apply a ThemeOnce you go to your home screen, you'll be greeted with a few welcome screens that'll provide you with some general info, but it's fairly self-explanatory. There are a bunch of categories that you can choose from, so explore to your heart's content. When you find a theme you like, just select it to download and apply. Don't worry, you can go through several, so you aren't bound to the first one you like.

Step 3: Set Up Theme OptionsAfter you have your theme applied, you will have to set up the defaults for the app shortcuts. When you tap a shortcut for the first time, a pop-up will ask which app you'd like to have as the default; after assigning it once, you won't have to do it again, but you will have the ability to change it.

Reset Shortcut DefaultsIf you find that you have assigned a shortcut the wrong app, you can delete the default by tapping and holding on the home screen. Select Themer Settings -> App Preferences -> (Shortcut You're Trying to Change). From that screen, you can change the shortcut to any app you'd like.

Step 4: Resize Widgets, Show Off Your Theme, & MoreAlong with having the same basic app drawer, Themer adds Smart Categories, which automatically group similar apps together for easy access.There is also widget support, so you can add your favorite widgets to your home screens. To enable widget resizing/movement, you'd need to go into the Advanced Settings and Unlock Widgets.In the Advanced Settings menu, you will also be able to change the look of the home screen, dock, and icons just as you would in any other third-party launcher. Once you get everything setup to your liking, you can share your theme by going to the Show Off menu. Here are just a few examples of the many themes you can install on your HTC One. You can show off your phone to anyone (use the "Show Off" option) and be sure that they will envy your mastery of Android theming. Check out this guide to switch back to your default, or even another launcher.

Yes, there are a few ways the process remains the same, but if you select pics and vids right from within the Message app, be prepared to be annoyed ... highly annoyed.Before I get a ton of responses about how this hasn't changed at all, let me say that nothing is different when you're in the Photos app; Select a pic or video, tap the share icon, then "Message" in the share sheet. It will do the same thing as always, opening up a compose message screen with the media embedded. All it needs from you is a recipient and, if you want, a written message to go with it.What I'm talking about is sending your photos and videos from within the Messages app directly. Before, you'd tap the camera button next to the text input field, then choose "Photo Library" to select what you want from your Photos app.Don't Miss: 100+ Cool New iOS 12 Features You Didn't Know About for iPhone Well, Apple has made this whole process different, so tapping the camera icon next to the input field in a thread no longer gives you the option to choose from your Photos library. How To: Noice Adds Sounds to Emojis on Your iPhone
As messaging and texting have all but replaced the need to actually call someone, emojis have seemingly replaced our need to type out text. With a simple emoji, you can relay emotions like "I don't feel very well" or "I love you" quickly and easily, knowing that the other party will instantly know what you're feeling.We recently showed you howt to make your own emojis to take things a little further, providing a unique way to express emotions beyond the limits of stock emojis. Today, we'll be showing you another way to help convey emotion, as well as gain some added entertainment, by attaching unique sounds to the emojis you send (some of which are provided feature Emmy winner Rob Schrab). Step 1: Download NoiceGrab the free application Noice - emoji + sound, developed by Studio Tentpole, from the iOS App Store.

Step 2: Sign Up to Create an AccountCreate a username and a simple four-digit passcode, much like the one on your lock screen, to sign up for Noice. Once you're in, you'll be required to enable push notifications in order to receive Noice emojis.

Step 3: Invite Your FriendsIf your friends want to receive the sounds, send them an invitation through one of the various options offered through the app. You can also add people who have already signed up by simply typing their username. Along with sharing options, the invite page also offers a service to change the color of the application's interface.

Step 4: Send Your Noice EmojiOnce your friends are added, just tap on their name and pick an emoji to send. Assuming they have their volume enabled, your friends will receive an emoji and notification sound reflecting that particular emotion. To test out the sounds of the emojis before sending them, or if you just want to entertain yourself, the Noicebot feature on the main page allows you to tap different emojis and hear their corresponding sounds.

How to Silence ContactsThere will undoubtedly be times when you don't want to be bothered by audible emojis, yet don't want to completely silence your device. In this scenario, select the Noice contact you want to silence, then tap the sound icon to the left of the emoji face. You'll know they're silenced by the frown displayed on the emoji.

Upgrade for More Emojis & Sounds!If you feel like your favorite emoji was left out, like the poop one, upgrade with one of the packs Noice offers for $0.99. Admittedly, I initially thought this app was sort-of ridiculous, but then I used it—it's still a little ridiculous, but also a lot of fun. Noice only requires a username and pin which makes it easy to set up, and some of the sounds to your favorite emojis will probably surprise and crack you up.
