How To: Install custom ROM's on a rooted Motorola Droid smartphone
The Motorola Droid is the reigning king of the Android family, but it's getting a little old and you're probably looking for a way to improve your phone's performance if you own one. Why not root the dang thing and install a custom ROM on it so it'll at least be organized the way you want it to be! This video will show you how to install custom ROM's (basically phone UI's) on a rooted Motorola Droid phone, allowing you nearly limitless customization options for your awesome phone. The ROM in this video is a well-supported one called Smoked Glass. From the Creator: Step 1DOWNLOAD THIS FILEhttp://download510.mediafire.com/toodhwd1m2tg/hyggnldyllt/SmokedGlass-v4-BRS-20100205-0517.zipSave to desktop Step 2Take the smoked glass zip file and extract it to the desktop, you may rename the folder to what you want, but DO NOT tamper with the files inside! Step 3Drag the folder that you just extracted (smoked glass v4) to your sdcard- YOU MUST PLACE IT IN THE "nandroid" folder, no other location, no other subfolders. Step 4Reeboot in recovery mode - Power on by pushing power button and holding X at the same time. Step 5Go to advanced nandroid restore, click on choose backup, find the ROM you want, in this case, smoked glass v4, then hit the enter button, then leave the default options checked, hit perform restore, then back out by pushing the power button, then hit reboot, and your done!
